A father asked about his daughter at the front desk after what seemed like a lifetime. Phil guessed and came to him. With shaking hands, he said, “Excuse me, are you Peter?”
Indeed. “Who you are?” Petr had a sad expression on his face and red eyes.
Phil tripped, “I was with your daughter when… when she needed help,” pointing at the pendant for Peter to see. This pendant… contains a picture of my husband. Are you aware of this?

“I don’t know what you’re trying to pull here sir, but I’m not interested in talking about your delusions!” The man lost his temper. “Leave me alone!”
Phil turned and watched him turn when he noticed a flash of metal – a set of cufflinks on Peter’s shirt.
“Wait, those cufflinks!” Phil stopped and shouted. “My house has been the victim of a theft. How did you get them?”
When Peter turned to face him again, Phil noticed something in the man’s eyes. Was it fear? Phil’s thinking screamed: This guy is hiding something.

Phil has reached his breaking point. “Madeline!” he shouted as he got out of the vehicle after paying the driver.
Madeline and Peter immediately turned on him. Peter’s eyes widened in astonishment and Madeline paled.
“So you’re ALIVE!” Phil started laughing as he walked over to them. “Madeline, why?” “Why did you lie?”
“Phil, please, this is not the place. We can talk about anything when you come,” she begged. “People will see us, please.”
Yes, Phil, let’s talk about it in peace. “You don’t know a lot of things,” said Peter.
Phil paused. He was furious when he saw Madeline in front of him, still alive. He wanted to scream and shout, but he kept his cool. He wouldn’t make a fuss. He wished Madeline would calm down and explain her reasons for leaving him.
“How could you do that? Once he was inside he asked, ‘You disappear, you fake your death, and for what?’
It’s not about you, Phil. It’s my result. It’s been a long time since I loved you,” she remarked. “Change was necessary for me. I just couldn’t live with you.”
“Is it all because you lost interest in someone? Oh, Madeline, we could have talked! What about the theft? Everything we took from our safe, including the jewels and our savings?” Phil’s voice grew louder as his rage bubbled to the surface. Was it also about finding out who you are? Or was it just greed?”
“Phil, don’t add unnecessary complexity to this. I… have taken the required steps in my opinion.”
“I’ll go get the water,” Peter said as he got up and left.
“The jewelry you’re wearing,” Phil remarked sarcastically, “was in our safe.” You took them by stealing. You took everything from me, not just our time together. Madeline, I want everything back. Everything you took, in total. Or I’ll go to the cops, I swear.”
“Phil, please let’s not make it worse. We can work this out.”

His head was pounding with anxiety and he woke up in the basement, chained to a chair.
He was suddenly snapped out of his current misery by the faint sounds of an argument.
“We have to get out of here! We can’t stay here.”

Phil twisted his hand and used just the right amount of pressure to dislocate his thumb.
It was the only way to break free from the tight ropes that held him, but the pain was intense and caused him shooting pain.
After being released, he suppressed his grief and quietly crept towards the entrance in an attempt to find out where Madeline and Peter were. Sweat beaded on his forehead and he was breathing heavily.
Now that Phil could hear them less clearly, it looked like they had gone to another part of the house. This was his chance. He had a small window of time to act. However, the door suddenly opened and Peter staggered backward in disbelief. Phil felt a chill run down his spine as their eyes locked.
Phil said, “Peter, please listen to me.” The things Madeline says are not required of you. Consider this: she was manipulating things from the beginning.
What would stop her from turning against you if she was willing to betray her husband and me?”
Peter clenched his hands. “Get back to your seat!

Now she wanted him to participate in the murder. No way would he do that.
