For four years he lived with a pianist in a rented office because he could not afford an apartment. When he managed to become a successful actor and change his own life, he met and married his wife of 35 years, Kyra Sedgwick.

They met in 1987 while filming the movie “Lemon Sky”. Bacon was struck with love when he saw Sedgwick, but it was not the same for her.
After a short chase, their first date happened and they had a great date where they enjoyed a romantic dinner and laughed for hours. And as Sedgwick explained, she realized that Bacon was meant for her.

“We’ve always been each other’s biggest supporters and fans. A sense of humor is essential. He’s very funny.” Sedgwick said.
They had two children together, both of whom are now adults. Travis and Sosie, who are in their 30s.
